Duty Manager (Full Time)

Shoreline Leisure Bray is currently recruiting for a Duty Manager. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the various management roles of a leisure centre.

They will need to be able to exhibit excellent communication skills, organisational skills, reliability and be target driven. They will require the capacity to solve problems and work under pressure while maintaining and developing positive relationships with both staff and client

Job Description

  • To support the centre management in the overall development, management and operation of the centre.
  • Responsible for the overall shift management when the General Manager / Assistant Manager are not on duty.
  • To ensure that the day-to- day operations of the leisure centre meet the standards expected by centre management.
  • To contribute to the financial success of the company through the achievement of various sales targets and efficient management of operational expenses.
  • To ensure the centre delivers the highest level of standards of customer service, health & safety, program delivery, development of new products / services and hygiene.
  • Must have the ability to understand financial reports, daily cash sheets, direct debit systems and procedures and stock control.
  • Have a good working knowledge of leisure industry operating systems such as Invotech, OpenPlay, SMS Portal, WordPress and BookaPitch.
  • · Possess a good working knowledge of pool plant operations.
  • Delivery of group fitness classes
  • Delivery of both public and school swimming lessons.
  • Perform fitness evaluations and completing member programmes.
  • Ensuring that all staff are allocated to the correct group fitness classes/ member programmes/assessments and that all commence on time.
  • Delegating duties to staff regarding gym / pool supervision, customer care and hygiene.
  • Dealing with any staff lateness, absenteeism if or as they arise.
  • Monitoring and reviewing systems and procedures on a regular basis to enhance the leisure centre experience.
  • Capable to drive operational standards and consistency.
  • To assist centre management with the delivery of staff training and development.
  • To assist centre management in ensuring that all staff possess excellent product knowledge and are fully versed in the standards expected of them when caring out their duties.
  • Assist in management of the companies social media platforms
  • Deal with, follow up, resolve and document all member complaints in a professional manner
  • Ensure that excellent customer service is delivered to all Shoreline Leisure clients

Leisure Attendant (Full Time)

Shoreline Leisure Bray is currently recruiting for a Leisure Attendant. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the various roles within a leisure centre.

They will need to be able to exhibit excellent communication skills, organisational skills, reliability. They will require the capacity to solve problems and work under pressure while maintaining and developing positive relationships with both colleagues and clients.

Job Description

  • Develop and update health & fitness activities / programs within the centre for all users.
  • Candidates must hold a relevant fitness qualification i.e. EFPA/NCEF/ITEC/NCEHS.
  • Valid lifeguard qualification required
  • Delivery of both public and school swimming lessons. Valid swim teachers qualification required.
  • Delivery of group fitness classes
  • To support the centre management in the overall development and operation of the centre.
  • To ensure that the day-to- day operations of the leisure centre meet the standards expected by centre management.
  • To ensure the centre delivers the highest level of standards of customer service, health & safety, program delivery, development of new products / services and hygiene.
  • Ensure that excellent customer service is delivered to all Shoreline Leisure clients.
  • Reception / administration / membership sales / cash handling duties.
  • Arranging social events / gym challenges / in-house sporting activities.
  • Work well as part of a dynamic team.
